2008 Penticton - Devils Road Trip

36 Junior Rugby players made the trip to Penticton for the 2 day Pak’ it tournament from both the Grade 9 and Grade 10 teams. In our first game for the grade 9 team we had a tough one as we came up against a solid opponent from the North called Princess Margaret and we lost the game 36 to 7. The guys bounced back in their next game playing well together and defeating Collemnetza 24 - 5. In the Grade 9’s third game, they won a convincing victory against Penticton breaking into full flow in a convincing 39 - 0 victory.

The Grade 10′ team faced Williams Lake in their first match. They hadn’t lost all season and they seemed pretty ‘cocky’ until the game began. The team played textbook rugby in a decisive 26 - 5 win. During this match some of the newer players got into their stride and began to shine. In our 2nd game we were in tough against Kelowna Christian as it was an early game on Saturday, we lost a close one 14 - 7. In our last game we played Merritt and the boys finally got things going again with a good win 26 - 0.
