Sundevils - Rugby Alumni

Rugby has been a fixture since South Delta Secondary School opened its doors. In 2007, there were four squads and over 100 players participated during the spring season. Many of the bonds we've established over the past 35 years endure today. Each year the senior team is challenged by former players, many now approaching their 50s. 2008 Sundevil - Alumin Game

Next year's Alumni Game will take place on May 9, 2008. Last year was a blast and we had close to 100 current and former players participating in our Classic Annual Event. We'll play the game at the South Park field and after the game we will have our usual funny awards, bar-b-q and then later, we'll remember the 'good old days' over a few cocktails.

A few years back a number of dedicated souls under the mentorship of program founder, SDSS Teacher and Coach, John Narbett, shouldered the task of a rebuild. Since then, David Blackwell, Charlie MInns and Andrew Harvey have spearheaded the revivial with help along the way from volunteers, parents and the co-operation of the staff at SDSS.
