She Devils Rugby - Welcome

Our philosophy:

- to provide as many students as possible the opportunity to experience and participate in the game of rugby.
- to Improve each student’s individual skill level & understanding of the game during the year.
- to field a competitive team to compete with other schools in the Delta School District, the Fraser Valley Region and the Province of BC.

 

She Devil - News

The South Delta She Devils had their first practice on January 22, 2008. Working from a core of about 22 girls, a squad was formed around a physically strong scrum and a group of backs that actually enjoyed tackling practice.

The team's knowledge progressed strongly and the coaches decided to skip the development league and go directly into competition enrolling in the AA Fraser Valley School League for 2008. The 6 game schedule takes place from March to the end of April with playoffs in May.

Our first game was at home against Heritage Park of Mission. It took place on the Oval and we narrowly lost 10 - 5 in a hard fought game against a more experienced side. Not bad considering only one player on the She Devils had ever played in a game. Our second and third games were very comptitive and then on April 29th, we had our first WIN, a victory against Haney at home, it was sweet.
